HANDLING

Early and good quality education is vital to give your horse the best start to life and set it up for the future.  It enables your horse to become confident about being handled by humans, but also puts in place important boundaries to ensure you are able to handle the horse safely.  It also greatly assists in preparing the horse to be started undersaddle and ridden at a later date.  We offer two different Handling Modules - Initial/Weanling and Pre-start.

STARTING UNDERSADDLE

We take on a limited number of horses to start undersaddle at any one time to ensure that each horse receives the time and attention that it needs to receive a complete and well-rounded start.  Regardless of the discipline that your horse will go on to do, it is so important that your horse is given a complete and quality ridden foundation to set it up for its future as a ridden horse.  To book your horse in to be started undersaddle, it must complete our Pre-start Handling Module first - this is a minimum requirement.

SCHOOLING / FURTHER EDUCATION

There are limited spaces available for furthering your horse's ridden education with ongoing (longer-term) schooling (including, if required, taking them to their first dressage competition or two as well washing/plaiting etc).  We will be setting aside more opportunities for ongoing schooling throughout 2024/2025.

BOOKINGS

We are currently fully booked with horses to handle and start undersaddle for 2024 and 2025.  We have therefore temporarily closed our books and are not taking on any further horses for handling or starting undersaddle at this stage/until we have caught up somewhat.
